Tour Quotation Based on C.A.T.
You can calculate a total tour payment by referring to the prices listed on the C.A.T. (Confidential Agent Tariff). As you already have some sample of the C.A.T., then you should be able to calculate total tour payment when there is a tour request from other tour operator. It is important for travel agencies to have a confidential agent tariff (C.A.T.) as they will be able to easily provide a much accurate tour calculation once there is a request. For example if there is a request of two or three tours in one day, the agent can just refer to the prices listed in their C.A.T. book and simply accumulate the total payment from that list.
The way to create a C.A.T. itself require other skill, which involved identification of favorable tourist attraction, calculating the timing, choosing the right route, and putting the right tour elements before packaging them in one product.
The C.A.T. itself will contain dozens of tours with different itineraries, different programs, and different prices. The prices in C.A.T. normally quoted based on per person prices under various range of number of participants.
